Welcome to my new blog. which is part of a course I am currently teaching in the Professional and Public Writing program at the University of Pittsburgh.
This semester we will be discussing professional writing through the rhetoric of risk communication. the goals of this course are twofold:
- To prepare students to write professionally with style, grace, and impact
- To foster a critical awareness of the rhetorical practices commonly found in risk communication
